FM 2920 AT GOSSLING STAYS CLOSED AFTER LAW AND ACCIDENT – Montgomery County Police Reporter

115pm-FM 2920 in Gossling remains closed as the Harris County 4 Constable Reconstruction Team works on the crash that followed the Montgomery County pursuit. Early Sunday morning, an accident occurred at Hardin Store and Decker Prairie. The driver fled and jumped into a brown pickup truck at the Chevron station at this intersection and fled. Units spotted the vehicle and a chase began with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and District 1 mental health officers in the area. The chase continued on FM 2978 to Kuykendahl Huffsmith to Kuykendahl to Root Road, then back to Gossling south. When they reached the intersection of FM 2920, he was involved in a low speed crash and attempted to flee. The suspect who was under some type of drug began to fight against several MPs. He was finally shocked at which point he became numb. Cypress Creek EMS has requested Life Flight. The suspect is now airlifted to Memorial Herman in Houston in critical condition. Harris County Precinct 4 was involved in the incident. The passenger was arrested by the DPS on an open Harris County warrant. The Harris County District Attorney’s Office is participating in the investigation. A witness at the scene said that after the accident the driver attempted to flee. When the police grabbed him and tried to arrest him, he started to fight. She said, “The guy was not small and he was throwing these MPs like rag dolls, so another MP came over and shot him with the stun gun. He then stopped fighting.
