Montgomery County Celebrates New Healthcare Facility
MOUNT STERLING, Ky. (WTVQ) – Residents of Montgomery County celebrate the opening of a new health facility and what it means for the community.
On Tuesday, Sterling Health celebrated the start of construction with a first shovelful of soil on the site of future medical offices, which will merge three facilities already serving the Montgomery County area.
“We are winning victories every day. Everything we do, we are building it together, step by step, ”said Mayor of Mount Sterling Al Botts,“ if you want to enter the medical profession, you have opportunities here. “
When complete, the 20,000 square foot facility will employ 55 people. Services will include primary care, behavioral health, dental health and women’s health.
The company says it’s about making healthcare close and accessible.
“I think sometimes people think they have to go further to get better care. And at the same time, we have doctors and nurse practitioners, registered clinical social workers… people right here in the community who can meet those needs, ”said Sterling Health Care Executive Director Tina Bryant.
Construction is expected to start soon. On Tuesday, a groundbreaking ceremony took place for another new Sterling Health Care facility in Carlisle.
