Voter’s Guide for the November 2 Election

On Tuesday, November 2, city council and commission seats, city charter changes, mileage and school funding proposals are on local ballots in Ottawa and Allegan counties.

Polling stations will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., and new voters can register to vote and vote on election day by visiting their local clerk’s office.

In the Holland region, voters living in the cities of Holland and Zeeland, the Community Schools District of Hamilton, the towns of Saugatuck, Fennville and Douglas and the Township of Saugatuck hold local elections.

Elsewhere in Allegan and Ottawa counties, local elections are held in the towns of Grand Haven, Ferrysburg, Coopersville, Hudsonville, Allegan, Wayland and South Haven and in the school districts of the public schools of Spring Lake and Ravenna. .

The district will levy a tax of $ 1.85 million starting in 2022 to repay the bonds, but the total amount of debt levied by the district will not change.

  • Yes or no. Voters are urged to renew the township’s road maintenance tax of 0.9967 million for five years, through 2026, by providing funds to pave, repair, build or rebuild roads, bridges and structures of drainage.
